Marble Floors Miami Beach – Removing Stains from Marble Floors

By August 30, 2017Microblading

As a leading marble flooring company in Miami Beach, we often receive queries on how to remove stains from marble floors. Remember, marble is limestone, which has metamorphosed and combined with some natural elements to result in a variety of colors and patterns. When compared to other flooring options, marble flooring is easily stained. Therefore, it’s important for us to know how to remove stains from marble floors. Read the following tips to know how here…

Step-by-Step Process for Stain Removal:

Poultice Method:

  • Make sure to spray the area with stains using water.
  • Now, apply a poultice over the stained area. To make a poultice, mix some baking soda with water to get a consistency of a thick paste. Now, take the paste and apply it liberally on the stained area on your marble flooring.

(Poultice can also be made using some flour and a non-abrasive dish soap using the above-mentioned method.)

  • Cover the poultice-covered area using a plastic wrap and let it remain undisturbed for at least 24-hours.
  • Take the plastic wrap and using a damp cloth, wipe away the remaining poultice.
  • Repeat the same process if the stain is still there.

Hydrogen peroxide Method:

  • Make sure to spray the area with stains using water.
  • Now, pour a little hydrogen peroxide over the stained area.
  • Cover the hydrogen peroxide-covered area using a plastic wrap and let it remain undisturbed for at least 24-hours.
  • Take the plastic wrap and using a damp cloth, wipe away the remaining hydrogen peroxide.
  • Repeat the same process if the stain is still there.

Cornstarch Method:

  • Sprinkle some cornstarch over the stain.
  • Leave the place undisturbed for at least twenty minutes.
  • Using a damp cloth, wipe away the cornstarch.
  • Repeat the process if the stain is still there.
